It’s that time again. Flags featuring double Ts are resurrected across Lubbock. Fans swarm grocery stores on Saturdays stocking up on tailgate essentials. Local restaurants and bars carefully craft impeccably themed game day drink menus. 

Raiderland comes alive. Texas Tech football is back. 

As one of the most revered fan bases in collegiate sports, it was only right we compile a list of Downtown Lubbock locations perfect for watching football, celebrating with fans, and hearing those victory bells ring out.

Miguel’s

Miguel’s is the newest spot on the Broadway block and has quickly become a fan favorite. The inside/outside location features plenty of seating, multiple bars, and a number of TVs excellent to watch the game on.

In addition to weekly drink specials, you can also enjoy delicious Mexican food while cheering on the Red Raiders. String lights draped across the patio light up the night for the times you’ll want to stay out celebrating a win. Plus – the decor and vibe make it a picture perfect spot for Instagram posts.

Bierhaus 

Right across the street from Miguel’s, you’ll find a rowdy crowd cheering on the boys every Saturday. 

Bierhaus is a two story house turned bar with a wrap-around patio decked out with TVs. Because their main customer-base is Texas Tech students, a lively crowd ready to celebrate every Red Raider touchdown is guaranteed at this spot. Choose to watch the game from inside or outside, on swings, patio chairs, or standing around high-fiving fellow fans.

Famous for their prickly pear margaritas and “capri-funs,” you can expect gameday specials on drinks + their kitchen of tasty food.

Two Docs Brewing Co.

What pairs better with football season than a cold beer brewed right here in Lubbock? We agree – nothing!

Two Docs Brewing Co. is a family-friendly atmosphere where the entire crew can come to watch the Red Raiders defeat their opponent on the field – dogs too! While you enjoy the energy of the game and the hops of the brews, you can grab a bite to eat at one of the food trucks parked outside the patio. And if you’re lucky – it will be one of the many weekends the brewery features incredible live music.

The Garden

If you can brave the heat… The Garden may be the gameday spot for you. 

The completely outdoor venue features long picnic tables that can fit the whole squad, some of the best drink specials in Downtown LBK, and food trucks that line the curb out front. Plus – enjoy a number of yard games during halftime or the victory party afterward. They also debut a stacked live music schedule monthly, so you may catch a concert when you visit.

Flippers Tavern

Pinball. Brats. Beer. Football. Need we say more?

This spot in Downtown LBK is truly one-of-a-kind. Not only does it feature functioning pinball machines for you to play and enjoy, but also specializes in hotdogs of all kinds from the classic brat to unique creations that will have you coming back for seconds. The eccentric bar also offers a hand-crafted drink menu and a variety of beers waiting to be tasted and loved. If you decide to cheer on the Red Raiders from Flippers, you’re sure to enjoy a gameday like you’ve never had before.
